Kindergarten Common Core Standards for Reading

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer so far! I have been enjoying it so much that I haven't done anything school related. So, I thought I would do a little at a time... I wouldn't want to exert myself! I listed the ELA Kindergarten Common Core Standards along with kid friendly talk. I tried to write the kid friendly part as if my students were explaining what I just taught. Click on the picture below to go to my TPT store and download this list! When you download it, you will see 3 different PDF files. I could not save it as one file.

I am still learning when it comes to common core standards. What do you all think about it? What have you learned so far? Thanks so much for stopping by! I will have the Common Core Math Standards by next week!

  1. What have I learned? that none of the current curriculum line up completely :/ I suspect it will be getting fixed shortly, but it's frustrating at the moment.

  2. I'm with Katie! I think it has the potential to be great once we have the curriculum to align to the standards. It's all a bit overwhelming to me right now. With that being said, I do think it will end up being a positive thing to implement.

  3. Thanks for the comments, ladies! It doesn't align to our curriculum either. It will be great once it is aligned and goes along with our report card too!
