The Gingerbread Man

The Gingerbread Man is a theme I do for a week. We read different versions and talk about the differences. We also talk about how we, as authors, would change the ending. Check out our fun Friday craft that we did last week! I think they turned out great!

We only have 2 more days until Christmas break! When do you or did you get out for the Holidays? Have a great break and take some time to relax!

Camp Week Fun-End of the Year is HERE!

Well my friends,  our last day of school is tomorrow!  Yippy!  I've been busy finishing report cards, DRA folders, organizing, and packing.  Sorry I haven't posted in a while!

We were Camping in my third grade classroom.  It has been a blast!  Take a look!
Here the kiddos are opening Care Packages from parents.  As you can see in the background, we had to make a few tents out of desks and tablecloths. Normally, I have five or six small tents.

We made God's Eyes (Ojo de Dios)  with sticks that we collected on a nature walk.  You can also use craft sticks.  Click here for directions.

How many days of school do you have left?

Differentiated Kite Rhyming Craft

https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=ZGVmYXVsdGRvbWFpbnwzdGVhY2hlcmNoaWNrc3xneDo0OTA5N2NlZTZmODQ2MmE5

This is a spring craft and rhyming activity. I cut construction paper into squares and then cut strips of paper for the kite tails. The rhyming words attached are three different levels so you can differentiate according to students' ability. The page with three blank bows are for students to create his/her own word that rhymes. For example, the first word is sun and the student would write a word to rhyme.
