Free Schedule Cards and Linkies

Hello darlings!  Summer has finally started for me!  I've been busy with Curriculum and Leadership meetings, but now I can concentrate on the pool and my tan!  I'm linking up with Across the Hall in 2nd for the Favorite Things linky.  This week it is all about the beach/pool.

I'm also sharing five things from my week for Five for Friday.

Do you watch Game of Thrones?  I LOVE that show, but the season finale was Sunday.  Man, was the week before a crazy episode, you know, The Red Wedding!  Even if you don't watch the show, you should check out this video with reactions from fans about this shocker.  I have to say, I laughed so hard! (even though the episode was sad)

My new tattoo is healing nicely.  My sister and I got the same tattoos in memory of our mom who passed away suddenly in March.  (We did it on her birthday) She always said, "Pray, Ask, Believe, Receive" at the end of her phone messages.  It is part of Mark 11:24.

Photo: For mom!

Jamie (one of the Teacher Chicks) and I booked a vacay to Florida yesterday!  Yay!!! I NEED the beach!  I don't think I could make it through the summer without going to the ocean! We are going to Clearwater Beach.  Ever been there?

Here is my freebie for the day!  Check out these Specials/Elective Class signs.  I usually place the days of the week in a pocket chart and then put the special class sign next to it.  This way I can keep track of what special we have on what day.  I can never remember!

I hope you can use these!  Happy Summer!

Tackle It Tuesday: CCSS 3.W.3 Narrative Writing

Hello darlings!  Welcome to the second installment of Tackle It Tuesday: CCSS!

This week I would like to share two Narrative Writing resources I use with my kiddos.  This covers Common Core State Standard 3.W.3.

Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences.
a. Establish a situation and introduce a narrator and/or characters; organize an event sequence that unfolds naturally.
b. Use dialogue and descriptions of actions, thoughts, and feelings to develop experiences and events or show the response of characters to situations.
c. Use temporal words and phrases to signal event orders.
d. Provide a sense of closure.

Tornado and June Currently

Hello darlings!  I hope you are enjoying this summer or are almost done with school!  I've been out of school, but I have been writing curriculum with my district for the past couple of days.  I still have Monday and Tuesday left and then I can start the daily pool ritual!

How has the weather been where you are?  It has been crazy storming here in O'Fallon, Missouri.  My friend Jamie and I were coming back from dinner Friday night and saw a tornado!  We even filmed it!  It was super exciting and a little scary!  It turns out this tornado made its way all the way to where my friend Gretchen was driving.  She had to get out of her car and go under an overpass.  She said she was being pelted with rain and debris.  The sound was incredibly loud.  She made it out safe, but was covered in mud.  (We then talked about how she should of stayed in her car because overpasses are not safe.  They actually can create a vortex of air and suck you out.)  I have no idea what I would have done in her situation!  I am so glad she is okay!

I'm linking up with Farley for this month's Currently.

Stay safe my friends,
