EAT CUPCAKES!!!!! I don't like heavy icing so if you take off the bottom half off of the cupcake and stick it on top of the icing, you get a cupcake sandwich that is the perfect amount of cake and icing. Check out the pics. We had a baby shower after school today so all of the girls told me that I had to share my cupcake eating secrets.

Does anyone else eat cupcakes this way? Anytime I am seen eating a cupcake I get strange looks. It is so worth it, though:)
Ok....now that I have made you want a cupcake, I'll get back to the task at hand!
The first freebie is a leaf book. This book is great for kindergarteners! I made it so you can copy it, put two staples on the side and cut in half. To download, just click on the picture below.
I use the "How Tall is Our Class?" book for each season or holiday. It is a great graph practice and we make a class book to put in our library. Cut out pumpkin die cuts and number from 1-15. Then, measure each student and hang up their name to show how tall they are. Copy the book onto orange construction paper and fill in each student's name and how tall he or she is. Then, put a picture next to his or her name. This is also a great way to explain nonstandard measurement. Click on the picture below to download a copy.

This quarter I am assessing which students know the difference between a letter and a word. Most of my students do know the difference. This is a great activity to have for parent teacher conferences to really show if students understand this concept or not.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
