Meet the Teacher Chicks

Thanks for stopping by!  Here is a little about us so that you can put a face to the posts.

Amy Hoffmann  Third Grade

Hello darlings!  So..a little about my background. I was born in Alaska with the Polar Bears. =) I'm an Army Brat and have lived all over the world.   We moved to the great MO when I was a junior in high school and I have been here ever since.  I have an amazing family whom I am very close with.  My little bro was in the army and is now with Jesus and my mom.  My little sister is a photographer and is married to my fab brother in law, Andrew.   Yikes! I feel old!    Anyway, I have an adorable Shipoo named Cullen.  I wonder where I got that name from?   I love the outdoors, animals, and shopping!  I love Jesus with everything I've got!My favorite TV shows are Law and Order SVU, Once Upon a Time, Convert Affairs, and The Walking Dead.  Everyone gives me such trouble for that last one. =)  Obviously, I love teaching and creating resources.  I am always looking for new and fun ways to inspire my kiddos. I graduated from the Mizzou Fellows Program with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and have since been named Teacher of the Year.

Jamie Day   Third Grade

Hello Amazing Readers! A little about me...I was born and raised in Missouri on a family farm. I  married my wonderful husband, Philip, on September 10, 2011 (9-10-11). We currently do not have any children, but love spending time with our adorable niece, Callie, who we were blessed with on September 30, 2012. I love spending any "free" time with friends and family. I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and my Masters in Educational Technology from the University of Missouri (Go Mizzou!). Teaching has been my passion. I love watching my kiddos change throughout the school year and know I have done my job when you see those light bulbs turn on. Creating resources and implementing technology has always been an enjoyment and, just like Amy, I love implementing new, exciting things in my classroom. Therefore, I hope you find some wonderful resources from Amy, Shelley, and I. Thanks for stopping by!
